ATA - Biodiesel SIG - 17 June 2006

17 June 2006, Noon, Macclesfield Hotel
Alan Williams and I are organising an inaugural meeting of people interested in using and perhaps making Biodiesel.
Chris from Mt. Gambier is bringing along his Mercedes 300D to show the modification he has made to run on Straight/Waste Vegetable Oil and there will be others along who have attended the Uni of WA Biodiesel Workshops.
If you have any queries, ideas or suggestions, please contact Alan (8557 8955) or me (steve@noolan.net or 0428 839 032)

Nice one Steve How about using algae to generate the vegetable oil - we have square kms of saline water in SA that could grow algae like it's going out of fashion - light, nutrient, water, sunshine - we would need to use our protected cropping technology to moderate the temperature and we could start making a real difference to the use of alternative fuels.

My long term aim is to use algae, but that is still somewhat experimental. If there is anyway I can do research in this area, I am VERY interested.

My short term aim is to get some of the (easier with current technology) blocks in place and viable so that I have a platform to do some of the more esoteric stuff.
